Children Needing Back-to-School Supplies

It’s Back-To-School time! Schools will soon be opening and children in our area need our help. Many families are unable to afford basic school necessities. That’s where you can help. Our partner, Community Service Agency (CSA), is holding a Back-To-School donation drive, hoping to help 700 children get the school year off on the right foot. CSA is asking for donations of Target Gift Cards specifically in the amount of $25.00 which they will distribute to families needing help to buy school essentials for their children - backpacks, pencils, paper, other school supplies, clothes and shoes. Parents will be able to use the gift cards to take their children shopping, like every other family, to buy items most needed to help their children start school in the best way possible. Christ Church will be collecting $25.00 Target Gift Cards from Sunday, July 20 through Sunday, August 10. You can place the gift cards in the donation plate at a Sunday service as it is passed, or you can drop them off in the church office or at a Wednesday night Community Dinner. Please take a moment to remember the back-to-school needs from your childhood, or those of your children or grandchildren, and consider contributing to help students in need get off to a great start in the new school year!
