Stewardship 2026

We are now officially in Stewardship Season! In case you missed them, you can read the Rector’s letter introducing "Fill the Jars With Water" as the theme for this year, and the Senior Warden’s letter inviting you to make a pledge to support the mission and ministry of Christ Church in 2026. As you prayerfully consider your pledge, we encourage you to keep in mind that several key drivers of our expenses are beyond our control and increase year over year: the cost of health coverage and benefits for staff is negotiated by the national Episcopal church and will go up 10% in 2026; an annual cost of living salary increase is mandated by the diocese and approved each year at Diocesan Convention; and routine contracts for maintenance and accounting services increase due to inflation. This also is an important moment in the life of our parish as we discern whether or not to call a full-time Associate Rector when our Curate’s term here ends next June. This means that in order to simply maintain the life of the parish, we need to see pledge income increase. While recognizing that many in our community are not able to increase their pledge every year, if you are - or you are able to make a pledge for the first time - that would be so tremendously helpful.

When you are ready to consider your pledge to Christ Church in 2026, please either return the pledge card that was included with the Senior Warden's letter (you can mail it or bring it on Sunday morning) or complete the online pledge card here. There are pledge cards available in the back of the church as well. If you'd like to discuss your pledge with Rev. Claire, another member of the clergy, or a member of the vestry before submitting it, please don't hesitate to be in touch. On Ingathering Sunday, November 9, we will bless all the pledges received thus far and the households who made them.
