Welcome Diana Higuera

We are excited to welcome Diana Higuera back to our staff as Director of Operations! Many of you may remember Diana from when she worked here in June 2022-February 2023. She left that February for an amazing 2+ year opportunity in the Peace Corps. Diana has spent the past 2+ years in Georgia, a country located next to the Black Sea. She was an individual organizational development volunteer who worked to strengthen Media Center Kakheti, a local NGO focused on empowering survivors of domestic violence to become financially independent and supporting democratic values through youth civic engagement projects. While there, Diana also led Kids Clubs and Adult Conversation Clubs at the American Corner in Telavi, the primary city in that region. 

Diana will be managing all things related to campus maintenance, IT and general operations for both Ventana School and the church. Aaron Alvarez, our facilities assistant, now reports to Diana. Diana’s primary email address is dianah@ventanaschool.org.

As Diana assumes the role of Director of Operations, Deanne is shifting to the Director of Parish Administration, a role more similar to the one she was hired for in 2017 encompassing parish administration, human resources, events coordination, and additional Church programming development and support. This is a change that Deanne had requested and she is excited to return to a more church-focused position.
