About Desiree
Desiree is originally from MN, but moved to Southern California to earn an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. She was in private practice as a Spiritual Director for well over a decade before life circumstances pronounced, "it was time to get a real job." She completed her Google project management certificate and enjoys bringing order to chaos in her operations work here on campus. Desiree is also our yoga instructor and finds that teaching yoga really is the next evolution in her work as a Spiritual Director as the mat presents a unique opportunity to unite and nurture mind, body and soul. She and her two kids live in Sunnyvale.

In Operations, we keep things running. That might be procuring supplies, working with vendors to get a project completed, supporting events, or getting creative about solving problems in real time. I also help with a number of communication projects for the church.

Fun Fact about Desiree: I have actually saved someone's life using the heimlich maneuver.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I would be a Teacher when I grew up.

If we had an office talent show, I'd wow everyone with my salsa or bollywood dance talent.
