Collecting Succulent Cuttings for Stanford Campus Ministry
The Episcopal chaplain at Stanford, Dr. Travis Stevens, is currently seeking donations of succulent cuttings. Dr. Stevens works with a student group on campus called Progressive Christians at Stanford: Episcopal Lutheran Campus Ministry, and as the academic year begins, he is looking for ways to attract students to this group. Between now and Sunday, September 14, Christ Church members with a green thumb are invited to donate small succulent cuttings (no need for them to be rooted), which can be dropped off in a basket in the church offices, or on Sundays in the Narthax. Dr. Stevens and his students intend to give away about 400 cuttings at two student activity fairs at Stanford in September, where new students will be looking for organizations to join. At the Progressive Christians booth at each of the two fairs, students will place their plants in small pots, which come with a QR code sticker directing them to the campus ministry website. Gardeners of Christ Church, thank you in advance for your contributions!
