On Saturday, May 21, the Association for India's Development (AID) warmly invites Christ Church parishioners for an event in the Parish Hall with two eminent activists and social workers from India, Prita Jha and Ravishankar Arunachalam, who will discuss the critical work they lead to secure justice and opportunity for the country's youth.
Prita Jha's organization, Peace and Equality Cell, provides free legal representation to survivors of child sexual abuse, and domestic violence, persons with disabilities, and other survivors of unconstitutional violence. Ravishankar Arunachalam is the founder and Chief Executive Officer at Chudar, an afterschool program based in Chennai focused on well-rounded education of underprivileged children in 6th-8th grades using innovative approaches to STEM education.
The event is free; chai and snacks will be served. More details and registration link at https://www.aidbayarea.org/events.html.
