Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth. ~ Rumi
Each of us carries objects that hold great importance to us; a gift or small item that reminds us of a loved one; an object collected or found on a special trip or experience; a trinket passed down by family members. These items can transcend the physical to represent entire narratives woven about the self - one’s strengths, adventures, relationships with others, or place in the world.
The Sacred Storytelling workshop will be held in the Fireside Room from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27th. Please bring a small physical item that has meaning to you, and supplies to support your form of storytelling: paper, your preferred writing instrument, crayons, or other supplies to support your creative vision. The afternoon’s cadence of mindfulness exercises, periods of work and reflection, and time for sharing is designed to support the formation and telling of your narrative - through written word, spoken story, or visual representation.
