Hear our panel of AI experts discuss this rapidly emerging technology, explaining what it is, how it will affect your everyday life, and what you need to know to navigate this both exciting and disturbing "new frontier." There will be time for questions from the audience. A panelist meet-and-greet and reception will follow in the parish hall.

About our Panelists...

Ron Bodkin is the co-founder and CEO of ChainML, which provides an open-source platform for rapidly developing customized generative AI applications using collaborating ‘agents.’ The platform enables the robust deployment and monitoring of generative AI models ensuring they can be operated with confidence and accuracy. He has over 15 years of AI experience, specializing in data science, analytics, machine learning, and large scale data processing. Formerly, he worked in Google’s Cloud CTO office, with a focus on Applied Artificial Intelligence leading efforts in industry applications and responsible AI. He also was the VP and GM of AI at Teradata, following Teradata’s acquisition of his company, Think Big Analytics, and led AI Engineering & CIO at Vector Institute.

Corrie Conrad is the VP of Communities and Impact at Box and the Executive Director of Box.org. Digital transformation for nonprofits, including the use of AI, is top of mind as she leads social impact, non-profit customer success, and community, culture and sustainability programs. Corrie believes one of the biggest opportunities for positive global impact comes from companies intentionally and strategically using their strengths for greater good. Prior to Box, Corrie was VP of Social Impact, Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion at Sephora where she led the design and launch of Sephora Stands, and a number of flagship initiatives over 5 years. Corrie spent 8 years at Google leading program management for an engineering team and running a number of programs for Google.org. Prior to that she lived and worked in Rwanda with the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative. She was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill and earned her MPA from Princeton University.

Steve Xu received his Ph.D in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and has been working in Silicon Valley for 25 years on chip development across multiple domains, ranging from microprocessors (Intel), wireless communications (Qualcomm), and most recently, AI hardware (Google).

Loretta Guarino (Moderator) received an MS in Computer Engineering from Stanford in 1975 and a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon in 1980. Over her career as a software engineer, she worked at Xerox, Digital Equipment Corporation, MicroUnity Systems Engineering, Adobe Systems, and Google. She was co-chair of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) Web Content Accessibility Working Group between 2006 - 2013. She was co-editor of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, the basis for most online accessibility laws for the disabled.
