Join Revs. Cal and Claire for an Adult Forum series, "She Who Is: Discovering the Divine Feminine in the Christian Tradition," beginning on Sunday, August 17, 9:00-10:00 a.m. between the services in person in the Fireside Room. We will kick off our series with the Virgin Mary's timelessly prophetic speech, the Magnificat, which is also this Sunday's Gospel as we commemorate the Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin. Together, we will unpack Mary's Magnificat as it boldly proclaims God's justice and the upending of earthly hierarchies, and discern what wisdom it may hold for us today. Our conversation will delve into how the Episcopal Church and other denominations have understood and expressed their relationship with the mother of Jesus through works of theology and spiritually-infused art forms. All are welcome as we immerse ourselves in faithful conversation about the mother of God, and who she is to us. Childcare is available in the chapel.
